I was just going through the report by special team formed by media council of Tanzania (MCT) and Tanzania editors’ forum (TEF) to investigate the killing of Tanzanian Journalist Daudi Mwangosi, and I find this interesting part of the report.

                                                             The late Daudi Mwangosi

Shortly after the morning press conference at the RPC’s offices journalists in the briefing chamber recounted that one unidentified plain police officer approached the late Mwangosi and remarked: “What is the point going to Nyololo to cover Chadema activities it may end in your own demise.”

All smile, late Mwangosi retorted: “If I die today, my remains will not be buried in the ground but in the hearts of the people,” It was as if he was predicting his death. And sadly he died in the same day in the same Chadema activity and it is true that his body has been buried in peoples’ hearts.
